9 Tips To Look Your Best On Your Wedding Day

While there’s no such thing as perfection, there are some things you can do to help ensure you look and feel beautiful on your wedding day. Here are our top 9 top tips that will help you look and feel your very best on your very special day.

Get plenty of rest in the lead-up.

This may seem like a no-brainer, but getting a good night’s sleep is crucial for looking, feeling, and performing at your best and it will keep puffy, grey eyes at bay. Aim for a minimum of 7 hours of shut-eye. If you get less then try and get some extra hours in the following night.

Drink lots of water

Staying hydrated is key for keeping your skin looking healthy and radiant. Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your wedding, and be sure to have a glass or two the morning of to help you look refreshed and glowing. The more water we drink the more our bodies let go of which helps reduce puffiness in the face and body.

Don’t try any new products

With all of the excitement leading up to your wedding, it can be tempting to try out new beauty products. But resist the urge to close to the day. Stick with the products you know and love to avoid any unwanted surprises on your big day. If you are going to try anything new then make sure you do it at least 6 weeks out.

Do a trial run

Whether you’re planning on doing your own makeup or hair, or if you’re using a stylist or makeup artist, don’t leave it to chance and be sure to do a trial run beforehand. This will help ensure you’re happy with the way you look on your wedding day and avoid any last-minute stressors as well as sleepless night’s worrying how things will go and how you will look on the big day.

Keep it simple

When it comes to your wedding day beauty routine, less is more. Opt for a natural makeup look and consider wearing your hair down in loose waves or an updo that isn’t too complicated or fussy. You want to look like yourself, just the best version of yourself!

Prep your skin

Give your skin some extra TLC in the weeks leading up to your wedding with regular facials, exfoliation, and hydration. This will help ensure your skin looks smooth, radiant, and healthy on your big day.

Don’t forget your hands and nails

Your hands will be front-and-center on your big day as you exchange rings and share vows, so make sure they’re looking their best by getting a manicure in the days leading up to the wedding. Regular manicures 2 months out will ensure they are looking they’re absolute best for those all-important ring photos!

Take care of yourself

Take care of yourself mentally and emotionally as well as physically leading up to the big day by getting regular exercise, eating well, and spending time with loved ones who make you feel good about yourself—all of which will help reduce stress levels and promote confidence from the inside out!

Relax

And finally…relax! Yes, weddings can be stressful (we get it), but try to take some time in the days leading up to yours to relax and take care of yourself both mentally and physically so that you can enjoy every minute of this special time in your life.

Preparing for your wedding should be an enjoyable experience. By following these simple tips and taking care of you along the way you can help ensure that you look and feel gorgeous on your big day…and hopefully some of this sticks and ensures you look and feel gorgeous every day after!
